Solution 1- Check your printer

  • Open Notepad or Microsoft.

Solution 2- Print a Test Page

  • First, turn off the printer, then reboot the computer and turn on the printer again.
  • Make sure the printer paper is loaded correctly onto the paper tray.
  • Now you need to press the Windows Start key and then select Control Panel.
  • Further double click on the Printers and Faxes option.
  • If the printer shows Offline status, you need to right-click the printer and select Use Printer Online.
  • Double-click the printer icon to open it.
  • If any print jobs are displayed in the queue, in that case, you need to select Cancel All Document Files.
  • Now close the running window.
  • Later, right-click on the printer and select Properties and then select Print Test Page.
  • If the Print Test Page option works, you can take a printout using WordPad.
  • This can be done by clicking on the Start tab and then opening the Run tab.
  • Now enter “WordPad” and press OK tab.
  • Also, enter some text in WordPad and select File and Print.
  • Select the correct printer and click the Print tab.
  • Make sure that no error lights are displayed on the printer.

  • It doesn’t work from WordPad

Solution 3- Rename the Printing File

  • First, right-click on the .qbp file for your QuickBooks version.
  • Then rename the file by adding the word old to the file name (i.e. QBPrint.qbp.old)
  • Now open QuickBooks Desktop and go to File menu and select Printer Setup.
  • Thereafter, select any transaction from the Form Name list to create a new QBprint.qbp file.
  • Once done, you need to select the OK button.
  • After this, try to open and print any transaction.

Solution 4- Make Sure it is the Right Printer

  • In QuickBooks accounting software, you need to choose the File option and then select the Printer Setup option.
  • You must select the form to print.
  • The next step in the process is to match the printer name with the printer in use. If it does not match, make sure to correct the setup in the system's printer setup.
  • Now click on the Help area for detailed instructions.
  • Now you need to try printing using a different printer in the printer setup.
  • In QuickBooks, then all you need to choose File, and click Printer Setup.
  • The next step in the process is to select the form to be printed.
  • Then select another printer. You can also select Microsoft XP printer.
  • Now you need to select the Help option for more detailed instructions.
  • Next, you'll need to print a different form or, if you're using a customized form or memorized report, you'll need to try the standard form or report.
  • If you are trying to print a batch of forms in QuickBooks, then try printing a single form. If the last attempt succeeds, be sure to use data damage fix on the company file to fix any data damage in the file and try printing again.
  • Switch to Selective Startup mode. If the problem still exists, make sure to reinstall QuickBooks for Windows with the help of the Clean Install tool.
